This is the highlight of this incredible country, with all your meals, all your transfers, guided all away thru, sightseing from the Caribeean side, to Central Valley, Monteverede and Santa Elena Rainforest to the Pacific ocean. Going to the frontiere of Tortuguero (The Amazon of Costa Rica to Manuel Antonio National Park and beach. DAY 1 Arrival to St Jose. (Not Liberia)

Upon arrival to airport you will be responsible to jump in a taxi for your hotel "Adventures Inn" (or similar) located only minutes away from San Jose Santamaria international airport. The fare will be paid by the front desk (included). Check in, first night is yours to do as you please, perhaps downtown St Jose for shopping (minutes away). Dinner at the hotel (included). D

DAY 2 BRAULIO CARILLO NATIONAL PARK / TORTUGUERO
Private transportation have been arranged and will be picking you up (around 9AM) at the lobby of the hotel after you checked out and got your breakfast.  The trip will be a great sightseeing the all way through  Braulio Carillo National park, an incredible jungle with  huge waterfalls, plenty of stops on the way to take great pictures, but also to visit a banana plantation (seasonal,). Lunch will be served to you at a great local restaurant, great Costa Rica meal. You will be dropping off to the docks of LA PAVONA where a boat trip (1 hours) through the wild rivers (Amazon of Costa Rica) all away to Tortuguero where you will be staying for the next two (2) days.
Tortuguero beach is the most important nesting site of the endangered green turtle in the Western Hemisphere. Giant leatherback, hawksbill, and loggerhead turtles also nest here. The green turtle population is believed to have come perilously close to extinction in the 1960s when nearly every female turtle arriving to nest in Tortuguero was taken for the export market for turtle soup. The park now includes over 19,000 hectares (46,900 acres) and protects 22 miles of nesting beach from the mouth of the Tortuguero River south to Parisimina. The park, and the Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge to the north, comprise the largest remaining adjoining tract of lowland wet tropical forest on Costa Rica's Atlantic Coast. Upon arrival to Tortuguero, you will be checking in at the ilan ilan hotel. Welcome cocktail. planting a tree activities, walking the trails, lunch and visit of the CCC Museum and the city of Tortuguero. The Caribbean Conservation Corps (CCC), a turtle research center founded by Dr Carr in 1959, has been documenting the number of turtles nesting in Tortuguero for the last 40 years. (entrance fee not included, only $1.00). Return to the hotel for your dinner. Optional (seasonal: the spawning season is June to October: $15.00 not included ), at night visit on the beach with professional guides, watching turtles laying eggs.

DAY 3 TORTUGUERO CANALS / JUNGLE TOUR & NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast and cruise this morning with naturalist guides along canals lined by raffia palm, habitat of howler and white-faced monkeys, green iguanas and tropical birds. Look for white and snowy egrets and the amazing nests of the montezuma oropendola. Then, enter the mysterious reflecting waters of Caño Palma wildlife reserve. Next, visit the Green Turtle Research Station. Learn about efforts to protect the turtle's nesting habitat, eggs and young hatchlings. Walk along the Atlantic turtle nesting beaches with a naturalist guide. Next, to Tortuguero village. Meet Costa Rican school children on your visit to a local school (when in session). Return to your lodge for lunch. Free time to enjoy your lodge's swimming pool and tropical flower gardens. Visit a butterfly garden. See colorful butterflies. Enjoy an afternoon boat excursion into Tortuguero National Park. Look for otters, turtles and manatees. Dinner.

DAY 4 SARAPIQUI WHITEWATER RAFTING / HIKE

Breakfast, check out and boat trip back to La Pavona (1 hour) and transfer via private transportation to Sarapiqui, where you will be checking in at La Selva Verde lodge located in the jungle and next to Sarapiqui river. Lunch and after a small hiking through the trails, you will be invited for your whitewater rafting (Class III). A fun trip, great fun guaranteed! Back to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 5 POAS VOLCANO / SAN LORENZO CLOUD FOREST / ARENAL

Breakfast, check out and private guided tour to Poas Volcano.Botos Lagoon is a filled-up crater in the Parque Nacional Volcan Poas. Its deep blue waters contrast with the dense tropical forest that surround it, making it the perfect spot for the stereotypical Indian sacrifice- throwing a young maiden into the mouth of a crater or a lagoon. Volcano Poas is one of the most visited volcanoes in Costa Rica, because of its proximity to San Jose and of the luxuriant forest that surrounds the two craters. The park measures 5600 hectares, and this basaltic volcano stands at an altitude of 2708 meters (8,200 feet) above sea level. Lunch is provided in a local restaurant and en route for Arenal, going through the Cloud forest of San Lorenzo, plenty stops to take pictures. Check in at Villas Vista Arenal or La pradera hotel (or similar). Dinner at La Choza de Laurel where a Feast will be served: Lobster or Langoustine, shrimps, fish, wood-fire grilled chicken, pork & beef, veggies but also your first drink and the last specialty shot of Costa Rica Britt liqueur mixed with Baileys and crème). Time to go to bed and to get some rest for your next adventure!

DAY 6 ARENAL / LA FORTUNA
Breakfast. Pick up in the morning for your Venado caves expedition, the ultimate fun, guided, visiting these caves, where you will see a formation called "the papaya". hours playing Indiana johns, crawling in the mud (change of clothes is needed), walking into a underground river, a real expedition, a lot of fun, followed by your lunch.  In the afternoon you will be Horseback riding to Arenal Waterfall/river. Dinner at La Choza de Laurel for your Costa Rican meal. OPTION #1: Baldi Hot Springs voucher $28.00 per person

DAY 7 ARENAL LAKE / MONTEVERDE / SANTA ELENA RAINFOREST
Breakfast. Transfer to Monteverde & Santa Elena National park. You will be crossing lake Arenal, a great opportunity to take the best picture of Arenal Volcano and picked up on the other side for a drive to Monteverde where you will be checking in at Nidia Lodge or Hotel de la Montana (or similar). After lunch will be ready transferred to the hanging bridges of Santa Elena Rainforest, a paradise for wildlife lovers. Monteverde lies in a land of misty mountains and enchanted cloud forests where majestically decorated trees teeming with orchids, ferns, vines and thick mosses tower over translucent streams that tumble along to plummeting waterfalls. This 26,000-acre reserve is home to more than 100 species of mammals, 120 species of reptiles and amphibians and 2,500 species of plants, including 420 different kinds of orchids. Back to Hotel for Dinner.

DAY 8 MANUEL ANTONIO

Breakfast. Transfer to Manuel Antonio, the most beautiful beach and national park of Costa Rica. Lunch box on the way. Check in at Rancho Casa Grande in your Junior suite and after a welcome cocktail you will be invited for your Canopy tour (zip lines). Miles of cables stretch between ancestral trees, platforms hanging at 60 meters high, a great feeling, zipping from one tree to the next, seeing the rainforest canopy from a different point of view. Hiking on the trails and soaking in the swimming pool and/ or Jacuzzi. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 9 MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. Guided tour of Manuel Antonio Park. Manuel Antonio is the right place to go if you want to see a beautiful national park in the beach and if you also want to be close to popular nightlife activities, such as fine dining or partying. The advantage of Manuel Antonio is that there's an ample variety of wildlife, set in the lush and peaceful hillside. This park is only seven kilometers Southeast from Quepos, and it's one of the most visited protected areas. The park entrance is in Playa Espadilla, and our guide will give you the honor to tour the entire place. Lunch at the resort. Afternoon we offer free shuttle to the beach. OPTION #2: ATV tour in the jungle, wild rivers and waterfall $95.00 Back to the hotel for dinner. BLD

DAY 10 FLIGHT TO SAN JOSE AIRPORT
Breakfast. Transfer to Quepos airport and flight to San Jose Airport in order to catch you plane (ticket included). B
