Day 1: Arrival at Cusco City (Not Lima)
Upon arrival in Cusco City (International airfare not included), you will be greeted by Eduardo, our Director of Operations in Peru who will brief you and transfer you to Palmeras 3*** Hostel or similar. Enjoy a free coca tea offered to help you get acclimatized to the altitude. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, enjoy a Welcome dinner and a show of typical Peruvian dances. (D)
Recommendations: April to November (dry season, Peru's winter: Cold in Altitude like Cuzco, Puno, etc.), wear warm clothes. December to March (wet season, Peru's summer: Warmer except at night), wear light clothes but always have a sweater within reach, wear walking shoes, have some coins and small bills. When you take a picture of a native girl or a child they will ask you for money. You could give them 1 sol (30 cents USD) and they will be happy, but if you want to feel better we recommend to bring some school material like pencils or any other small things with the name or the flag of your country (they love that).
