Hi Patty, We just returned from our fabulous trip!. Words cannot express our praise for your Cuzco director of operation, Eduardo. His knowledge, compassion and friendly personality contributed greatly to our time in Peru. After meeting us upon our arrival to go over trip details (complete with restaurant recommendation for other cities), Eduardo took us for a walking tour of his city, including entry to a local school festival. Two nights later, when it became necessary to locate medical care for a bad case of altitude sickness, he not only called and made arrangements, stayed with us in the clinic through an evening of tests and oxygen treatment, then located chicken soup on a menu at a late night local diner.

Patty, We've just returned from our second VSD trip. Their itineraries include all the must-see tourist highlights as well as suggested options for individual activities. It's our style to enjoy time out for shopping and independent exploration between informative (small group) tours. On each trip we first met the knowledgeable, local personnel who had so competently arranged our itinerary with comfortable, local-style accommodations, on-time transportation, and informative tours. In fact, we even asked for a few restaurant recommendations! With all the logistics taken care of, there was more time to spend enjoying the sights of these amazing cultures. We look forward to another equally fascinating trip orchestrated by Vacation Super Deals! Here are the photos we promised. Our trip to Guatemala, is a favorite trip memory. Many thanks for your skills in handling all those details, leaving us free for fun, food, and sightseeing. Each day had a new focus, allowing us to experience Antigua, Tikal, Chichicastenango, the volcano, and Lake Atitlan. Great mix for only a 6 night trip!!! Hi Patty,We had an adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We don't speak much Spanish but thanks to several forgiving Tico's we easily got through it. We would go again in a heartbeat. Usually on vacations you come back saying, "I would have don't this or that differently"; we didn't. We were thankful for anything that came our way and made the best of it and everything turned out beautifully. All reservations were where they were suppose to be and all transfers were made pretty much on time as well. It was amazing that with such a schedule for tours and transfers and everything that the Costa Rican people remained very flexible. They were willing to drop you at different places if you didn't want to be returned to your hotel after the "tour", saving a walk or taxi ride. We found that asking the desk clerks at each hotel on how much to expect the taxi drivers to charge us for various rides was invaluable. The drivers price always matched the desk clerks quote. This gave us a secure feeling that we were not being taken advantage of.
Thank goodness we didn't have to drive and he had an excellent company and very professional. The 6 or 7 person vans very comfortable, clean and taken care of impeccably. I think those drivers could have closed their eyes and still have gotten to their destinations. How they can cover such a large area of the country and know the location of every hotel, hostel, B&B's is truely amazing.
Thanks to VSD for changing our pickup time on our last transfer. VSD emailed the company for us and also emailed us to tell us what else we could do. In the event that something happened that we couldn't handle we felt we could easily call VSD and they would be there assisting us where they could.

Patrick, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you…….your email got over looked and I just came across it while I was purging old emails. It might be a good idea to send an email asking for comments and photos about a week AFTER the expected completion of your customers’ experiences. Our experience with this type of independent touring was very favorable. Each step along the way is a leap faith….that someone will be at the next time and location specified to take you to or thru the next step! And each time that person was there to allow the tour to continue on schedule..even when the airlines delayed their flight by more than 6 hours! At 3:30AM your driver was at the Lima airport to take us to our hotel without any complaints! Being as tall as I am (6’6”), I had requested queen or king sized beds at each stop and Eduardo did an excellent job with the accommodations we had! The entire experience in Peru was excellent and your representatives did a wonderful job keeping us informed and supported. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your services to any of our friends! Patty, just wanted to thank you for the most wonderful trip that my wife and I just completed with your company, Vacation Super Deal.We were met at every location at the proper time and picked up promptly! That's a total of 12 actual pick-ups! We cannot get over the coordination that this required for just 2 people.
Special thanks go out to Eduardo Becerra for his information and ticket packet given to us in Cusco. Very professional. (Additionally we would like to thank Raul, our pick up man in Cusco. What a personable fellow!)
The hotels in Cusco and Puro were absolutely great. We did have somewhat of a problem with Colonial Hotel in Lime. We were placed in a room right on Av. Comandante Espinar which was noisy, noisy, noisy from the street traffic and we had to keep the windows open as it had no air conditioning. (The lobby and the general look of the hotel were satisfactory.) The Apu Magestic Hotel was not what we would consider 3 stars....more like 1 star. The room and especially the bathroom had a lot to be desired.
PS: Machu Picchu was the best!!!!!
PSS: I am glad I was not driving in Lima! I have never experienced such WILD traffic.
We will certainly keep you and your company in mind when we plan our next vacation.
